The forum was jointly organized by the China Association of Circular Economy and the Swedish Embassy in China. Guan Shizhen, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Circular Economy, pointed out at the forum that no-waste cities are the development goals of more and more countries and cities, and the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles will be reduced and resource-reduced in non-waste cities. Playing a huge role is the only way to ensure the sustainable development of China's industry.
Wu Si, Minister Counselor of the Swedish Embassy in China and Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Center, said that the textile industry is one of the most resource-intensive and polluting industries in the world, and the textile industry is currently undergoing fundamental changes. The Swedish government placed sustainable development at the top of the political agenda and created the Circular Economy Committee, which aims to strengthen Sweden's transition to efficient use of resources, circular economy and sustainable development. He pointed out that it is not enough to only carry out sustainable production. It also needs to change consumption patterns and encourage more sustainable consumption behaviors.
Zhao Guoliang, a professor at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, analyzed the development trend of the comprehensive utilization technology of waste textiles. First, the sorting technology will be continuously upgraded. Second, the second-hand clothing market will be opened in the future. Third, the physical law reuse products will be diversified. Fourth, chemical methods will be reused. Need to reduce costs and improve quality, fifth, the regeneration process and product quality testing and evaluation methods will continue to improve.
